Siemens Smart Infrastructures offers a unique combination of business areas: as a technology partner, service provider, system integrator and product supplier, we offer products, systems, solutions and services relating to personal safety, building security and automation, heating, ventilation, air conditioning technology, as well as transmission and distribution of electrical power and systems for the low-voltage power grid level, smart grids This opportunity as Commercial Project Manager in our Milan offices will require the responsibility for the completion of all project commercial/financial related matters, including but not limited to handling Project Controlling, Accounting, Legal, Tax, New Collaboration Model (NCM) and Export Compliance and Control (ECC) topics. Finance Project Manager ensures the compliance of applicable regulations during project execution phase, supports the respective Project Manager with the target of executing the project in accordance with defined PM @ Siemens guidelines/standards, customer requirements, financial targets and the applicable Financial Reporting Guidelines (FRG). A professional collaboration between the Finance Project Manager and the Project Manager is key for the overall project success. Your Responsibilities: Manage the project throughout the project Life Cycle Ensure appropriate Commercial Project Management and Project Controlling, regular and timely review and planning of revenue, cost and project assets. Ensure application of all commercial project policies and accounting guidelines as per IFRS and Siemens financial and project management guidelines. Ensures the accuracy of cost and pricing calculation as well as overall project books and records, incl. recording of such in appropriate systems, e.g. SAP Commercial Project Management and Controlling including ongoing analysis of plan/actual deviations on project level and within WBS structure and appropriate Regular Forecasting of project performance in collaboration with the Project Manager regarding revenues, cost, provisions / accruals and project cash flow Claim, Change Order Management and Contract Management including contract reviews, commercial analysis of customer and supplier contracts for claim or variation order potential. Assertion of own claims, ward off unjustified claims, preparation of claims including documentation and quantification towards all internal and external parties Opportunity & Risk Management including identification and financial assessment of opportunities with PM, definition, and implementation of suitable measures for reducing risks and realizing opportunities and taking precautions for remaining risks (provisions / risk contingencies acc. to IFRS) Ensures the application and the continuously managing of financial Guarantees, Bonds and project securities Ensure compliance with Levels of Authority approval guidelines for commercial aspects, e.g. risk management process. Directs the compliance to standards, rules and regulations of (commercial) project members to act according to the Business Conduct Guidelines and establishes a culture of trust and integrity (e.g. adherence of tax regulations, Signature rights, segregation of duties, ECC, EHS), OR, Legal and Compliance, HR (incl. Delegation process), ECC, Customs, external auditors, etc. Act as entrepreneur for the Business Unit, showing proactive approach in problem solving and resolution Relationship management for her/his area of responsibility with key external and internal project stakeholders, i.e. customers, consortium partners, suppliers, Management, Accounting, Legal, SFS, Insurance, Taxes, etc. What do I need to qualify for this job? Consistent professional work experience as a finance professional supporting project business (at least 3 years), preferably in B2B market Experience in handling Business Administration tools (e.g. SAP, Self-Service BI Dashboards) Strong analytical and planning skills, risk management and ability to proactively propose improvement actions Able to interact, creating a good environment, collaboration, teamwork and communicate effectively with people at all levels and cultures Proven skills to work effectively in a collaborative environment Fluent in Italian and English languages Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering or Accounting Flexibility to work many several projects projects and prioritize autonomously Good knowledge of Italian code of tender, is a plus Siemens CPM Certification is a plus What can we further offer?
