What you will do for Siemens Smart Infrastructure: The role will focus on understanding commission data and how the upstream data affects commission outcomes. This position will also provide support to sales force in addressing inquiries and exceptions. Summary of the position includes the following: Ability to work with data base tools Ability to extract data into Microsoft Excel Have a deep knowledge of Microsoft Excel, i.e.; lookups, pivot tables, formulas Ability to review data & provide outcomes, deficiencies, with suggested improvements Collaborate with various departments to improve deficiencies Works to standardize processes to improve accuracy and efficiency of reporting Responsibilities: Collaborate with various departments to resolve issues affecting inaccurate data outcomes Support calculation and tracking of data while pushing implementation of new tool Analyze and interpret large complex data sets to find more efficient ways to report the data Perform data mining, exploratory data analysis, and utilize other analytic methodologies on complex data Understand how to tell a story with data Ensure commissions are calculated and paid per the commission plan Research and communicate with HR when incorrect or missing data occurs Analyze general ledger accounts, reconcile payments and accrual and process appropriate adjusting entries when necessary Qualifications: Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Experience with Microsoft Products with a deep knowledge in Excel Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Effective organizational and planning skills Proven ability to work independently to complete tasks Knowledge of data extraction and manipulation Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience BS/BA in accounting or finance Typically, 2-5 years of successful experience in Finance or Accounting Successful demonstration of key responsibilities mentioned above Data Analytics - experience working with large data sets and ability to tell a story with data Organization: Smart Infrastructure Company: Siemens Industry, Inc.
