Commissioning Engineer (Protection System) – Siemens Industrial Ltd., Dhaka Bangladesh We’re looking for the makers of tomorrow! The incumbent would be responsible for FAT, Testing & Commissioning of CRP, SAS and DFDR products for various projects. The incumbent must be a Bangladeshi national. You will be responsible to carry out the testing & Commissioning of MV/HV (up to 400kV) substation Protection system delivered in various locations of Bangladesh, ensure that standard in Commissioning procedures including work instructions are being followed and full records of the test results are signed off with accuracy. 2. You are also responsible to prepare the commissioning strategy and commissioning assessment document, carryout the commissioning as per the documented process description & checklists, and report the site progress & site plan to the reporting manager. 3. Ensuring project commissioning safely by following all safety standards of Siemens, reporting of Hazards, Near Miss Incidents at the work location for records and further improvements is a part of the job responsibility. 4. You need to ensure appropriate handing-over of marked-up drawings to the engineering team for preparing the ‘as-build’ drawing and onward submission to the customer to close the project, also signing off detailed MOM with the customers prior to leaving the site. 5. The role requires you to actively and regularly provide feedback to the Testing, Project Management, Engineering, and Sales teams to apply the earned experiences in future. 6. Market development by giving technical hands-on training on ‘Protection System’ to the government utilities customers and industry customers is an integral part of the job. We don’t need superheroes, just super minds !- You must have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable university. - You bring along 2-3 years of experience in testing, commissioning of high voltage substations. You need to be expert in SIPROTEC 4 & 5, Reyrolle Relay product family; also in Digsi 4 & 5 configuration software for SIPROTEC product family. - Deep Knowledge in IEC 61850 Protocol, Goose, experience in IEC 104 Protocol, expertise in protection relay testing machine and software (ideally Omicron Relay Testing kit and Test Universe software) is a prerequisite. - Well-versed with Office365 tools, MS Project and MS Office suit. - Must have excellent communication and presentation skills both in Bengali and English with good networking skills to deal with internal/external and international stakeholders. - Capable of working under pressure.
