Description

Working as a part of the global Sales Operations team, the Commissions Analyst will demonstrate integrity and excellence in the provision of expert support to the Commercial organisation.
The Commission Specialist role will primarily revolve around the design, communication and administration of the commission and bonus plans for the global Commercial organisation and will work closely with other departments such as Sales and Finance to ensure that all activities are completed to a high degree of accuracy. The department has a reputation for high quality data provision and a “can do” attitude and this reputation needs to be maintained at all times.
It is the role of the Commissions Specialist to work both within existing operational processes as well as newly identified projects/initiatives to deliver high quality support to the Commercial organisation.  All processes should be continually evaluated to look for opportunity to improve both efficiency and the value provided to internal stakeholders.
  
Key Responsibilities

* Own the global sales commissions process for a Technology and Services company
* Design and administer compensation plans that align to business strategy
* Evolve compensation model over time and to ensure alignment with company goals
* Calculate regular commission and bonus payments and work to strict deadlines to ensure that payments are submitted to payroll on time for processing
* Communicate targets and compensation statements in a timely manner
* Manage and respond to queries promptly and professionally
* Provide comprehensive ongoing quota attainment and achievement reporting to sales leaders – work to improve availability and value of existing reporting
* Partner with Finance, Sales Operations, and Sales to review commissions regularly including ongoing spend analysis
* Partner with Finance, Sales Operations, and Sales Leadership to regularly review commissions, including the ongoing analysis of global commission spend, sales performance and other strategic KPIs
* Create and maintain strong relationships within the Commercial organisation and across the business
* Review processes with a view to improve efficiency and effectiveness


Technical and Personal Skills

Essential
* Have a strong understanding of a sales reward cycle with 2+ years in a Sales Compensation or similar role
* Good communication skills are essential - you will be analysing and sharing both target and payment information - therefore you will be personable, enthusiastic and able to build rapport across all levels of the organisation
* Have the ability to work cross-functionally and with senior leadership
* Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail
* Advanced Excel user with the ability to build complex models based on large data sets utilising complex formulae/macros etc.
* Highly organised and efficient approach with the ability to effectively prioritise and manage workload to strict deadlines

 
Desirable
* Knowledge of Salesforce (or alternative CRM systems), including report and dashboard creation
* Experience utilising Business Intelligence platforms
* SQL knowledge/experience
* Previous experience in a fast moving, sales orientated company


Qualification & Pre-Requisites
* Have the right to live and work in UK
* Valid Passport holder
* Educated to degree level (strongly desirable)
