Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in business analysis.
  • Experience with regression methods.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA degree.
  • 5 years of experience in the Memory IC industry.
  • Ability to solve ambiguous challenges by executing sophisticated, quantitative, and advanced modeling.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to interpret and deconstruct complex market activities/data to derive actionable insights.

About the job

As a memory analyst you will be responsible to synthesize current/future business needs and market trend data through coordinating internal stakeholder input and extracting internal expertise to support and provide recommendations for Google's Technical Infrastructure Memory commodity strategy.

You will also be partnering with commodity manager and potentially with finance, accounting, and Business/Product teams to ensure regulatory compliance, accurate reporting, and efficient data collection.

Responsibilities

  • Research/source memory market trends and provide analysis on memory demand/supply outlook.
  • Manage relationships with third party analysts to deliver regular market updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Distill and aggregate insights that explain key movements and risks in memory market including analysis on historical and future price trends.
  • Prepare and present pricing forecasts using analytical techniques and supporting market information. Work with internal operations and finance teams to plan, forecast, and report on memory spend.
  • Establish/integrate internal easy-to-use data sharing/exchange platform. Prepare and present analysis on memory suppliers’ quarterly financial reports. Maintain database of supplier’s financial results.
