• Applied Materials AGS has achieved a very large revenue increase in the past few years. Our business growth potential is still very strong, especially for after-service business – so now it’s very good timing to join such a strong developing team. Commodity Business Management needs to support Applied Materials Taiwan AGS (After Global Service) to drive and manage our suppliers. We are immensely excited as we look forward to this opportunity to grow with AGS. This position requires years of experience in supplier engagement, solid negotiation skills, and high motivation to cooperate with a local/ global team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develops, aligns and implements commodity strategies.
• Negotiates and manages the maintenance of agreements with suppliers that provide the structure for all business relationships between Applied Materials and the supply base.
• Engages with the PLC process to ensure alignment with the commodity strategies.
• Directs new supplier introduction and/or disengagement requirements to/from the Applied Materials supply base.
• Drives resolution to systemic supply chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery or lead-time, which may include engagement with sub-tiers in the supply chain.
• Develops and presents high-level cost reduction opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above, MBA or technical acumen is a plus
• Above 10 years of experience in suppliers’ interaction, such as buyer, procurement, sourcing, and supply chain… etc.
• Extremely proactive and strong negotiation skill, able to drive a high-level person from suppliers
• Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment independently and react to the escalated request effectively
• Excellent communication skill in English
