As the Commodity Manager (CM) in the Global Supply Chain Assembly Equipment organization, you will be managing key equipment suppliers in the area of Metrology Inspection and Robotic Material Handling Systems supporting ATTD (Assembly Test Technology Development) advance packaging road maps.
The chosen candidate will closely collaborate with business partners to ensure spares/services availability and schedule readiness to enable factory deliverables, while drive risk supply chain mitigation strategies to meet customer expectations. Also, will act as the escalation path for critical business needs, supplier support, inventory management, or supplier quality issues and deliver resolution to factory leaders.
The Commodity Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Negotiating contract terms and conditions and pricing for next generation equipment, supplier selection, equipment upgrades, and/or continuous improvement projects.
- Coordinating purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner.
- Acquiring and maintaining a technical understanding of products purchased. Performing cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities.
- Obtaining materials, components, equipment, and services. Developing new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate.
- Monitoring the cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure the best quality at the best value.
- May recommend cost saving proposals including make versus buy analysis, alternative sourcing, and vendor evaluation criteria.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must possess at least one of the following 3 degrees; plus, the years of experience determined for each degree in the areas specified below:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Master's degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field. with 3+ years of relevant experience:
- MBA plus 3+ years of relevant experience in Business, Engineering, Finance, or Supply Chain.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with project planning, High Volume ramp readiness, supplier contract management, and supplier relationship management are ideal.
- Experience with High Volume and Technology Development (R&D) manufacturing environments in the aspects of semiconductor fabrication and/or assembly test manufacturing, with experience in metrology, inspection, image analysis, optical science, robotic, handler, equipment integration.
- Be qualified to manage supplier relationships, develop/negotiate contracts, prices, and lead time for capital equipment, upgrade kits, or Continues Improvement Projects that will enable equipment performance, technology capabilities, and/or cost savings initiatives.
- Enable equipment selections decisions, drive supplier health/readiness initiatives, supplier capacity strategies, and conduct market analysis/benchmarking that will enable a robust supply chain.
