Role Headline Manages the total Purchasing Volume (PVO) of assigned commodities focused on the pooling of materials. Leads a team of Commodity Management Professionals / Buying Professionals. Responsibilities of the Role · Together with assigned team, focuses on identifying suppliers for assigned commodities and services portfolio; identifies and analyses internal customer needs as well as technical specifications, prepares negotiations and contracts · Manages resources, supports assigned staff and ensures availability and maintenance of relevant competences · Develops and implements efficient forms of organization and procedures in the assigned organization to continuously detect areas for rationalization and increase of profitability · Ensures implementation and development of Siemens strategy, initiatives, and regulations · Derives innovative material field strategies based on market intelligence, gears procurement processes towards strategic objectives · Initiates, plans, executes, and controls the demand pooling and Supplier Management to maximize the contribution to operating profit from materials · Delivers results by implementing measures to ensure most value for Siemens within the own responsibility for a Purchasing Volume · Drives application of technical levers for sustainable cost and value optimization · Supports Supplier Management processes to obtain best suppliers and to ensure transparency and early integration Qualifications and Experience · Relevant Degree/Diploma or equivalent in Supply Chain Management · At least 10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management · Relevant leadership experience Attributes and skills · Pronounced level of ownership · Strong ability to lead a team to success and develop individuals to the best of their abilities · Agility, change orientation, customer focus and good communication skills · Strong Negotiation Skills and in-depth knowledge of SAP Our culture: Our culture embraces different perspectives, open debate, and the will to challenge convention.
