Purpose of Role:

Shift/Hours: 3 PM- 11:30 PM Monday- Friday

 

To execute the site MQM verification procedures of Inspection, Verification, and Testing on inbound ingredients and raise awareness of all inbound ingredient non-conformances. Operation & PM of Sepamatic

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  1. Collect samples for materials analysis as determined by site Q&FS or QA Procedures.
  2. Coordinate testing of samples.
  3. Inspect ingredients upon receipt for evidence of foreign material and/or damage.
  4. Raise awareness of non-conformance by entering information into (MSQM) for any ingredient that is out of specification upon receipt.
  5. Assist in PRIMP process.
  6. Assist warehouse personnel on holding ingredients and audit warehouse/site ingredient holds management process.
  7. Assure that any Food Safety ingredient hold is accounted for and isolated in a separate area of warehouse.
  8. Can perform the essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  9. Must be able to adapt to temperature and environmental extremes such as hot and cold, dust, dirt and chemicals.
  10. Able to complete all tasks in the area assigned by the manager abiding by the Quality Practices and Mars Safety Practices.
  11. Every associate at Mars has the responsibility for the achievement of quality and food safety.
  12. Foreign Material testing for inbound meats.
  13. Cleaning and PM’s for Sepamatic as required.

 

Mission Critical Competencies:

  1. Accurate and quick decision making skills.
  2. Well-developed computer skills.
  3. Knowledge of site based Q&FS reaction systems: Corrective Action Preventative Action process and Product Related Incident Management Process (PRIMP) and Mars Quality Management
  4. Knowledge of QA Manual and where to find ingredient specifications and procedures related to inbound ingredients.
  5. Knowledge of all areas of the factory.
  6. Knowledge of site HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) as related to inbound ingredients.
  7. Knowledge of site PRP (Pre-Requisite Program) – MQM verification procedure QS4255 and all the work instructions included.
  8. Interpersonal skills that influence and enlist the help of others in managing product quality.
  9. Ability to respond/react in a fast paced, changing environment.
  10. Fork lift certification.
  11. Must be cross trained functionally and help other Sepamatic Associates and help in other areas as requested.
  12. After each Sepamatic test, Associate must inspect the discharge for foreign material and evaluate.
  13. Generate reports / summary on findings are required.
  14. Will need to carry testing material up steps throughout the shift.
  15. Any other tasks assigned by Manager

 

Desired Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
