SUMMARY STATEMENT

The Senior Manager of Sustainable Development is responsible for defining, implementing and monitoring SUEZ sustainable development roadmap in Asia. The function will develop SUEZ’s sustainable development activities to meet the expectations of our customers, employees and stakeholders to increase SUEZ’s positive reputation and support brand credibility and business growth.

PRIMARY DUTIES

• To define, implement and monitor the Sustainable Development Strategy of SUEZ in Asia, linking in with the SUEZ Group Road Map.

• Determine governance processes

• Set annual milestones for Asia and measure progress

• Provision of an annual report incorporate progress against the Road Map

• Provide an update to SUEZ Group on performance
  

• Contribute to increasing SUEZ’s visibility in the area of sustainability, the circular economy and resource optimization. Work with different business areas to develop data to underpin brand and support proactive communications activities

• Work with the team to develop and edit corporate publications and collaterals

• Build SUEZ’s external networks with NGOs, key environmental and sustainability organizations

• Develop and implement a people engagement / CSR strategy in relation to the sustainable strategy

• Year on year improvement in scores and ratings in key external benchmark reports
  

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• Minimum 5 years proven experience in sustainability, environment or business role

• Outstanding communication, coordination, drive and enthusiasm

• Strong relationship, influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop harmonious relationships at all levels

• Experience in data managements and reporting systems

• Bachelor or above qualifications in environmental, business, engineering or communications disciplines

• Strong team spirits and proactive

• Excellent writing skills in both Chinese and English
