Project Roles: Communications Associate & Sales Representative.
Project Locations: Shanghai.
Role 1: Communications Associate
General Summary: The Communications Manager will conceptualize, plan and implement the organization’s internal and external communications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the day-to-day internal and external communications and marketing activities of the company.
• Maintain a strong brand for Roberto&Co;, including impactful and fit-for-purpose publications, web site, social media and merchandize.
• Coordinate media and public affairs activities to promote Roberto&Co;, and achieve best win-win for partners, clients and NGOs.
• Prepare press statements and articles on Roberto&Co;`s activities for both internal and external communications.
• Manage the publication and promotion of Roberto&Co;, materials, including design and printing (assistance provided).
• Ensure that the communication outputs are of a high standard, respond to the needs of the target audience, and are delivered professionally.
Requirements:
• Must Speak professional written and spoken English (Native American/Canadian nationals are preferred).
• At Least 3 years’ experience in a communications, marketing or journalist role.
• Experience of developing and implementing media, advocacy or marketing campaigns.
• Experience of representing an organization to the public or/and media.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and within a small dynamic team
• Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
• Ability to manage a complex workload and work to tight deadlines.
Role 2: Sales Representative
General Summary: Achieves maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the company’s products and/or related services.
Personally contacts and secures new business accounts/customers.
Core Competencies:
• Promotes/sells/secures orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.
• Demonstrates products and services to existing/potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
Detailed Functions:
• Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products/services.
• Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
• Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.
• Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
• Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
• Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups.
• Analyzes the territory/market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers’ value to the organization.
• Creates and manages a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities.
• Identifies advantages and compares organization’s products/services.
• Plans and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment.
• Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.
• Participates in trade shows, conventions, events and forums.
Reporting:
• Reports directly to the CEO and COO.
Qualifications:
• Must possess professional communication skills in English (Chinese is a plus).
• Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving, critical thinking and pressure management.
• Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Must possess experience in sales at least 3-5 years.
