Communications Director (1903237) – Beachwood, OH

Where the Chemistry Happens

The Communications Director for Construction Chemicals, Americas will be responsible for leading the overall communication function for the region. This individual will lead a team of diversely skilled communication professionals with administrative and functional reporting responsibility and will organize and manage group activities to ensure alignment with business priorities.

Active member of the Executive Leadership Team for the Regional Business Unit (RBU), responsible for developing and implementing cohesive internal and external communications strategies and plans that strengthen our brand identity.

Active member of global communications team, responsible for cascading global strategies and initiatives into the Americas region.

Ensure that all collateral enhances the organization’s brand image.

Monitor, measure and continuously improve website traffic, social media engagement, digital marketing efforts, and overall online presence.

Manage, plan and coordinate large customer events, tradeshows, and business conferences.

Support senior executive’s strategic messaging by developing and delivering high quality content through internal channels such as intranet sites, newsletters and Town Hall presentations.

Build and maintain media relationships and serve as liaison between media outlets and Construction Chemicals business.

Develop budgets, policies and procedures to support the function.

BA or BS degree in marketing, communications or related field and minimum 8 years of experience in marketing communications with 3 years of experience leading people or teams.

Proven knowledge of, or demonstrated ability to quickly learn, the Construction Chemicals businesses.

Experience managing outside agencies and vendors

Exceptional written, verbal, analytical and presentation skills

Strong project management skills; a self-starter with ability to establish and meet deadlines, to work effectively under pressure and to handle a heavy workload

Proven understanding of effective digital marketing strategies

Leadership through ownership/responsibility for core tasks, results and deadline orientation

Cost control/budget management

Source of new initiatives (including technology based); advocate for creative solutions

Continuous improvement mind-set and focus

A team player with a personal reputation for integrity and "above reproach" ethics.

Successful interaction with all levels of management, customers, suppliers, and media.
