We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate person to join the plant’s busy communications team at MINI Plant Oxford. The individual will focus on event management at the Plant. This includes internal and external events for a diverse range of clients and delegates. From internal employee events and new car launches to award ceremonies and firework displays. The individual will also play a key role in the growth of our award-winning Plant Tours, from day to day operations, as well as helping to market the tours effectively.
What awaits you?
In this role you will support the Event Managers in their daily work, but also be expected to work independently using your own initiative. Tasks include:
• Management and successful delivery of internal and external high quality events.
• Management and successful delivery of visits from internal and external VIP visitors.
• Identifying and managing various event suppliers.
• Liaising with potential event clients and producing event proposals.
• Identify and capitalise on opportunities for growth in both our Plant Tours and events offering.
• Helping to improve the overall visitor experience.
• Applicants should be working towards an undergraduate degree in event management or other relevant course and be on track to achieving a 2:1
• To be considered for this role you’ll need to be passionate about events and be able to demonstrate this clearly through your interests and achievements.
• You will have excellent written and spoken English skills. The ability to communicate and build relationships with staff at all levels of seniority is also essential.
• As well as having a good eye for details, you must be comfortable using a range of IT software, content management systems and social media.
• Basic photography and photo editing are all part of the role and any further digital media skills would enhance what you bring to the table. You will need to be highly organised and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
• Above all you must have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, be proactive and resilient.
