Objective of job
- To manage the supply of cars to the entire Daimler China affilicated companies’ 2,000 company car pool with 24 months usage lifecycle, owned by Daimler internal eneities as well as external leasing companies.
- To manage the 1,000+ units MBCL company cars from asset owner perspective – budget the investment, purchase the vehicle, manage the outsourced services (fleet mgt. and remarketing) as well as reconciliation of the physical stock and Accounting.
Main tasks
1. Company Car Sales
- Handle the company car purchase demand from FM, MBLC and RD, DGRC for all the Daimler China Affiliated company cars – Entitlement cars, Business, RD, etc.
- Prepare the annual company car sales incentive program in collaboration with Sales, Controlling, etc. and get it released in OASIS
- Check the Special Usage and Sales stock to source the requested cars.
- Follow the direct sales process from MBCL to MBCL, from BBAC to MBCL/DGRC – Price maintenance, VPC/BBAC logistics status tracking until delivery of the cars.
- Manage the company car sales via dealer process in collaboration with FM, MBLC from sales perspective – wholesale release, dealer communications, coordination with central sales mgt. , etc.
- Collaborate with VAN and Denza sales mgt. teams to impement the sales process for company cars.
- Regular status tracking of company car supply together with FM, MBLC in terms of vehicle status, lead time, etc.
- Physically manage the vehicle delivery at MJQ dealer, as well as corresponding invoice and certifications handover to FM, MBLC.
2. MBCL Company Car Vehicle Asset Management
- Cooperate with FM, MBLC to prepare the MBCL vehicle asset investment and deinvestment budget plan in EA1, EA2 and OP annually
- Prepare and proceed daily purchase orders and payments on behalf of MBCL to BBAC, FBAC, etc.
- Monthly reconciliation of MBCL registered company car asset between FM, MBLC and Accounting to ensure all physical assets (new incoming cars and disposal cars) are timley recorded and approved
- Quarterly audit on Fleet Management, MBLC daily operations according to the signed company car outsource service agreement and MBCL internal control guideline
- Conduct annual impairment of MBCL company car assets in collaboration with Accoutning, Controlling and Used Car team
- Facilitate MBCL internal control/ audit on the vehicle asset related activies.
- Regular Vehicle Asset process review and continuous process optimization to ensure the vehicle asset management perform properly.
3. Company Car Cross Entity Charge Rate Management
- Collect actual vehicle related transaction costs (Insurance, tax, etc.) from FM, and RV from Used car team, define the vehicle monthly rental fee accordingly
- Review the rental fee calculation method and impotant premises with TP (Transaction Price tax function) and communicate with all Daimler user entities
- Update the service level agreement (SLA) if new or amendment needed
4. Cross-functional Projects and Processes
- Special company car relevant projects.
- Preparation and implementation of bringing more BEVs into the company car
- BEV wallbox order and purchase process implementation and optimization together with Controlling and CS teams.
