The company controller position is accountable for financial, commercial operation and risk management of the company, to include the development of financial and operational strategy and on-going development and monitoring of internal control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results. Also act as a business partner to the company general manager to deliver defined goals and planed volume, operational performance, manufacturing, technology use. Drive the business to improve performance in sustainable manner. Be the leader of the controlling and commercial team to the company and drive further synergies and efficient usage of controlling CoE.
Your responsibilities
- Supporting to business strategy and implementation, drive the business with profitable growth. As business partner to determine and implement company strategy and ensure the alignment with global and local business area/division/PG strategies and translating strategy into business plans and establishes measurable targets. Responsible for business planning and rolling forecast, drive and coordinate cross functions to achieve budget/forecast. Lead and responsible for annual budget
- Monitoring progress achievement and provide insight and analysis to support operational decision-making. Identify issues and advise management on action plans and operational strategies to resolve. Drive appropriate cost savings. Manage and closely monitor the cash flow and take actions to improve Net Working Capital.
- Establishing and overseeing processes and tools necessary to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information. Ensures high quality and compliance of financial data and business information in line with defined standards & financial closing schedules. Enforcement of country and division specific finance directives and instructions, enforcement of Group Accounting and Reporting Guidelines.
- Ensuring compliance with Sarbanes Oxley [SOX], US GAAP and all ABB policies. Taking the lead in sustaining the alignment with Accounting Policy, Internal Controls and Assurance. Share functional best practices and lessons learned across the ABB organization. Ensures transparency in financial reporting and disclosures.
- Ensuring timely and efficient communication with relevant stakeholders. Ensure a sound communication with GBS/COE, identify and resolve the issues for quality and efficiency improvement. Maintain a good relationship with local tax bureau and relevant government authorities, timely understand the relevant subsides policies.
- Supporting ensuring a safe working environment, continuous HSE improvement processes and integrity performance, personally, lives the ABB values and Group standards.
- Ensuring that the area of responsibility is organized, staffed, experienced and understands his/her role in driving the strategy and providing financial transparency. Guides, motivates and develops direct/indirect subordinates within HR policies. Supports the Country and the Global BU to create, cultivate and develop talents and capabilities and review effectiveness.
- Assessing business risk exposure and defines risk mitigation strategies to reduce impact on business performance in own area of responsibility. Ensures risk management processes are consistently implemented in the company/business. Identify and communicate commercial and financial risks and opportunities from business propositions. Guide the team on local and global risk reviews with specific focus on risks/margins/cash flow/T&C’s etc and organizing together with company controlling team and local company management all necessary statutory actions and reporting regarding JV partners.

Your background
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or accounting is required.
- 7+ years of experience, or alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated performance and results; in the areas of business, finance, operational controlling and/or accounting and at least 3 years of experience as a business controller or company controller.
- Strong financial manager structured and results oriented leader with strong analytical and operational controlling skills.
- Change management experience and business-oriented mindset to support business development.
- Strong Microsoft Office/computer skills and Solid SAP knowledge/experience (CO/FI) preferred.
