The Siemens Mobility division has an exciting opportunity for a Competency Manager to join our Siemens Mobility team, based at our Melbourne Docklands office or Sydney Macquarie Park office. The Competency Manager is responsible for the successful management of the Siemens Mobility competency system for engineering, construction, and project management to ensure we maintain required competencies for all project staff.
The Competence Manager (CM) develops and implements competency management processes and programs, and advises managers and employees accordingly. The CM is also responsible for the conception and implementation of future-oriented strategies, processes, tools and methods in competence management with the objective of ensuring competitiveness through the acquisition, transfer, usage and development of competences derived from the business strategy for Siemens Mobility Australia/New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set-up and maintenance of competence management system in Siemens Mobility
- Development and documentation of the competence management and competence analysis work processes
- Preparation of databases/documents/templates for specific, systematic competence analysis (along the PMP process)
- Ensure Compliance of Frameworks and Project staff with relevant legislation (i.e. Rail Safety Act) and localised Rail Operator Competency requirements such as MTM, TfNSW etc.
- Support
customer projects in provision of proof of competency records.
In order to be considered for this role, you will have the following:
- 5+ years of prior experience in Rail Competency field with exposure to different Australian Rail Operator competency frameworks
- Experience with Engineering Competency Frameworks, CMS best practices and current international developments
- Familiarity with Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), Labor Legislation, Rail Safety National Law and Regulations
- University degree (or comparable) in human resources, business, education, communications or a related field is necessary,
- Comfortable to interface and work with stakeholders ranging from Senior Executives, local Line Managers, Technical Experts (internal and client side) as well as Siemens Engineers across the region.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Certificate
IV TAE (training and assessment) or equivalent is highly desirable
