Bentley Systems is seeking a Compliance Counsel to be based out of our Corporate Headquarters in Exton, PA. In this role, you will support various functions to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, evaluate regulatory compliance issues/concerns within the organization, assist in special projects, drive coordination with other departments to align compliance activities/projects, including detect and deter violations of laws and regulations and provide legal support to any compliance-related investigation and audit. You will work closely with business partners to provide day-to-day advice on regulatory and legal compliance issues.
Immediate Areas of Focus:
- Export Controls: serve as the subject matter expert on the Company’s compliance with Export Administration Regulations (EAR), OFAC economic and trade sanction programs, and other applicable export laws and regulations.
- Compliance and Ethics: assist with investigations and training materials.
- Privacy and Data Protection: assist with the global privacy and data protection compliance program.
What You Bring To The Team:
- Juris Doctorate degree and 4 years related experience.
- Law firm and/or in-house legal experience in regulatory compliance and extensive experience in the analysis, interpretation, and application of laws and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with drafting compliance policies, communications, and training materials.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to relate and communicate with employees at all levels of the company.
- Ability to travel domestic and international (<20%).
