Job Description

In this position you will be a key part of compliance team and work directly with our engineers, engineering consultants, internal and external test lab teams around the world. You will have a central role in ensuring e-bike projects are in compliance with local and international laws. We are continually evolving and improving our compliance system, so your position will need to adapt from time to time to support our process improvements. Flexible hours may be required as well as proficiency in English language for meetings with international offices.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

  • Work with engineers, consultants and test lab to ensure e-bikes meet all international and local requirements. Frequent communication with teams outside of Asia will be required.
  • Manage complete bike testing to international standards with bike assemblers
  • Create and maintain complete bike certification documentation

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage bicycle testing done by 3rd party labs and supplier labs to ISO 4210 and other similar standards.
    • Responsible for auditing supplier test labs for compliance for current test procedures
      • Requires travel to international locations
    • Owner of documentation of completed full bike testing.
      • Review each bike model and ensure all component testing has been properly documented
    • Drive discussions on changes to test method/standards with assemblers.
  • Compliance testing review for completed bicycles.
    • Review test results (from suppliers and in-house testing) to ensure all aspects have been tested and approved
    • Complete test reports for each bike model to key international standards
    • Ensure testing completed and fully documented on time.
  • Bike COCs: Manage Certificates of Compliance (COC) for US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)
    • Supervise and assist with Equipment COCs as required
    • Maintain and upload the bicycle COCs each month
  • Miscellaneous Engineering projects (as required)
    • Assist with component sign off by creating Test reports for individual parts or combinations of components.
    • Handle revisions to template documents and revision control
    • Maintain the engineering archive.
    • Facilitate X-reporting that is associated with compliance testing and bike readiness.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Ideal candidate has bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Sciences with 1-2 years experience. Outstanding recent University graduates will be considered.
  • Experience with Excel, Jira, Confluence, and PLM software
  • Understanding of international battery and electronic regulations a plus, but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills with an interest in working with teams around the world. Proficient in English.
  • International Travel may be required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & complete tasks within product creation timelines.
