Responsibilities:
- Initiates, develops, maintains and revised policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance Program of the Group to comply with listing rules, regulatory requirements and prevent illegal, unethical and improper conduct;
- Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk for the Group; - Develop/ implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues;
- Consults with company lawyers and compliance advisor as needed to resolve and follow through on compliance issues;
- Acts as an independent review and evaluation person to ensure that compliance issues/ concerns within the Group are being appropriately valuated, investigated and resolved;
- Provides reports on a regular basis and as directed or requested, to keep the Board and Senior Management informed of the operation and progress of the Compliance Program;
- Ensures proper reporting to regulators and duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate; - Establishes effective communication of the Compliance Program within and outside of the Group;
- Develops an effective compliance training program;
- Develops and periodically reviews and updates company policies and code of conduct to ensure continuing currency and relevance in providing guidance to management and employees
- Monitors and coordinates compliance activities of other departments to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities and to identify trends and investigations conducted by regulatory bodies such as Securities and Futures Commission and Hong Kong Stock Exchange;
- Head, manage and monitor the Contract Control and Approval Department - Review the work flows of the Group and ensure appropriate and effective control measures are adopted by Contract Control and Approval Department as an integral part of the Compliance Program;
- Handle, implement and support ad hoc projects
Requirements:
- Degree holder in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Law or related disciplines
- 10 years relevant experience in compliance, audit or risk management
- Strong analytical skills and PC knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrate strong sense of risk and control
- A strong communicator with outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
