The Compliance Officer (CO) for Greater China, as a participant of the local leadership teams in the affiliates he/she supports, will lead with management the mission of driving a robust corporate culture that embraces integrity in our operations, consistent with the core values and principles of Biogen's Code of Conduct.

• Provide Compliance subject matter expertise and advice to the Greater China (Shanghai, Hong Kong and Taiwan) Affiliates while fostering a proactive compliance culture

• Conduct annual risk assessment of Greater China Affiliates activities, develop a risk-based monitoring plan, and execute quarterly Compliance monitoring. 

• Report, investigate, and remediate instances of misconduct or non-compliance in a manner consistent with Biogen’s relevant policies and protocols

• Review/ advise the Greater China Affiliates on the design and execution of external stakeholder engagements, Sponsorships and Grants.

• Collaborate with the Affiliates compliance officers and S&Gs to ensure alignment and execution of cross border and co-sponsored activities.

• Design an appropriate Compliance training plan for the Greater China Affiliates and execute against that plan.

• Design, revise, and implement (as needed) policies, SOPs, work instructions

• Actively follow compliance trends in the market and regulatory environment including in business practices and evolving compliance - related legislation

• Actively engage in relevant industry associations and other compliance related stakeholder groups to drive ethical standards consistent with Biogen core values. and other forms of guidance and controls

• Bachelor Degree
• Minimum of 15 years of professional experience
• Good knowledge of Greater China markets
• Minimum of 7 years working in compliance and governance areas, with at least 5 years working in a compliance officer capacity
• 5+ years experience within life sciences industry
