The Role.
The Compliance Process Officer will be responsible for supporting implementation of high standards of adherence to the Company’s Code of Ethics and related rules, policies and procedures in AstraZeneca Indonesia.
The Compliance Process Officer work and collaborate with cross functional team to update the policies and templates, implement 1st line monitoring activities (aligning with the local team), support due diligence activities and ensue employees are trained and documents archived.
The Compliance Process Officer will assist the senior members of the compliance and finance function to ensure robust governance and help set up compliance controls, processes & systems in AZ Indonesia, guide in compliance risk assessment and mitigation actions. The employee will collaborate with the Compliance assurance team to assist them in monitoring and investigations, where necessary. The employee will apply learning of trends and analytics to further strengthen compliance culture in AZ Indonesia.
Accountabilities
Help to implement an effective compliance program (referring to the 8 elements defined globally for AZ)
Operationally supports “second line of defense” accountabilities
Support implementation of AZ risk framework and risk register, including mitigation of corporate risks (e.g. data privacy, ABAC, competition law, etc.)
Support driving and embedding a culture of ethics and integrity
Proactively review processes, practices and documents to identify trends and gaps in adherence to policy
Develop Compliance training programs to ensure training is provided according to a defined schedule for all disciplines and functional areas
Assist the market in audit preparations and submissions
Leverage Compliance champions network to drive a culture of adherence across AZ Indonesia
Support Assurance Partner in conducting 2line reviews and non-significant investigations matters (where necessary) to review policy and relevant documentations, including any additional adhoc required for assessing the local controls and adherence to the process.
Assist in smooth conduct of the compliance committee. Follow up with different stakeholders for closure of remediation actions and ensure CAPA is completed.
Ensure prompt communication of all potential investigations/issues/concerns to Compliance business partner and Assurance Partner to identify correct path of action
Join and attend Area Compliance Team meetings
Qualification:
Bachelors or Masters degree at an accredited College or University (degree in Finance or Accounting preferred)
3-5 years of relevant experience, in compliance function within pharmaceutical Industry.
Experience in pharmaceuticals or a related industry
Excellent analytical, written and oral communications skills
Strong collaborative, partnering, and interpersonal skills
Strong ability to work independently
High ethical standards, trustworthy, operating with absolute discretion
