The Intel Developer Software Engineering (DSE) Division is looking for a 4 month intern starting Summer/Fall of 2022. This is a great opportunity to on work on cutting-edge technologies to design, develop, debug, test compiler software and programming languages.
The project pertains to oneAPI toolkits, compilers development and SYCL language development. An ideal candidate would exhibit behavioral skills that indicate ability to work in a team environment.
Responsibilities may be quite diverse of a technical nature. U.S. experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school-work, classes, research and relevant previous job or internship experiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be pursuing a Master´s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience with C++Experience with Linux or Unix-like development
Preferred Qualifications:
- Academic or professional experience in compiler construction/optimization (LLVM, gcc, etc), understanding processor architectures and hardware accelerators such as GPU/FPGAExperience with SYCL, performance tuning, parallel programming and debuggers

Work Model for this Role
This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
