To learn more about Enlighted, visit us at www.enlightedinc.com Location Enlighted – A Siemens Company’s Global Technology Center, Chennai Role Component Engineer – Hardware Engineer Experience 6-8 years Responsibilities • Responsible for component BOM analysis • Identifying and approving alternate part replacements for obsolescence and lead time issues • Provide recommendation on obsolete and sole source parts by understanding the component usage • Knowledge in Electronic Components / Cost Analysis/ Electronic Component Datasheet study for Form Fit Function comparison • Initiate best practices of obsolescence management and supply chain management • Identify and approve new suppliers for sub-components • Develop and standardize validation plan for sub-components • Evaluates supplier change notification and qualifies changes, as needed • Maintains the Approved Parts List (APL) or (AML) Approved Manufacturer List for R&D • Apply systematic problem-solving skills to define issues, identify root causes, develop, qualify, and implement corrective actions in a timely manner • Can review schematic and recommend changes based on worst-case analysis Candidate Profile Education Bachelor’s in engineering in EEE/ECE or other equivalent Engineering degree Skills required • Minimum 6+ years Electronic product component engineering experience • Obsolescence management best practices • Good knowledge on electronic components and component selection • Electronic Component characterization and validation • BOM Management • Requalification of component changes (PCN review) • Engineering change management • Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills • Good oral and written communication skills • Strong customer focus and ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people • Need to be self-motivated and team player • Must be willing to work for flexible time depending on need basis to overlap with US-based process partners • Ability to work with little or no supervision Organization: Smart Infrastructure Company: Enlighted Energy Systems Pvt Ltd Experience Level: Experienced Professional Job Type: Full-time
