Job Description
Eaton’s Mission Systems is currently seeking a Composite Assembler I to join our 1st Shift team. This position is based at our Westminster, MD facility. This is a direct, full-time position that offers full benefits the day you start. In addition to Eaton’s competitive benefits, this position offers a salary of $21/hour. Position Overview: The Composite Assembler I is responsible for communicating and coordinating with the Production Supervisor regarding specific production needs (part availability, equipment, production status, and schedule updates) to ensure on-time delivery. This role will perform assembly and testing of production hardware within the confines of the systems and procedures and the certified operator system. In this function you will: Perform assembly and testing of production hardware within the confines of the systems and procedures and the certified operator system. Obtain and maintain Certified Operator Status to meet the required level of certified elements Properly manage the traceability of components to ensure accuracy. Participate in 5S cell efforts and continuous improvement. Identify improvement opportunities. Qualifications Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited institution is required Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience OR 1 year of military experience Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Westminster, MD to be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee Preferred qualifications: Associates Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Technology Assembly or Test experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Cellular Manufacturing, One Piece Flow, and Continuous Improvement concepts Experience with various types of industrial machinery equipment and tools such as lathe’s, curing ovens, thermal and/or life cycling machines, sanding and industrial painting tools, as well as standard hand tools Position Criteria: Responsible for ensuring that Environmental, Health, and Safety are included as part of everyday activities. Ability to lift up to and including 50 pounds. Ability to work safe and report all near misses, illnesses, and injuries following established procedures.
