The Mainframe team is responsible for delivering highly resilient systems on the latest IBM hardware and multi-vendor software. As a member of this team, you can be a part of implementing technology driven by several significant investment programs to move us to the next level of processing.
The Role We are seeking a Mainframe Support Professional to monitor and manage BNYM'S large mainframe computer environment. Perform monitoring with tools like SYSVIEW, and interface with clients for any or all issues. Utilize Remedy and Service Now for incident and change management, supporting changes requested by engineering.
Job Responsibilities: • Monitor IBM Z14 Mainframes • Interface with clients for trouble shooting of incidents • Apply system changes as requested by engineering
Computer Operations Administrator-Advanced->> Serves as a lead in the daily activities of output services. Monitors and enforces the adherence of quality standards for software development and certification. Provides how to technical support to the user community.Manages and maintains CPUs and peripheral devices used in the data center. Works with the expeditors to ensure all batches are current. Controls job processing of online and batch computer systems. Ensures all jobs are processed and finished in a timely manner. Determines and implements appropriate action in both hardware and software problems. Troubleshoots more complex hardware/software problems to determine where the problem lies. Contacts the proper vendors to assist with problem diagnosis. Follows up with vendors and software support to see what actions were taken to resolve the issues. Assists in supporting the achievement of team objectives.
*PLEASE NOTE WORK SCHEDULE: Friday to Tuesday from 8 AM – 4 PM *Onsite only - no telecommute or remote working arrangement

Qualifications
- Secondary education (high school diploma or equivalent) or equivalent work experience is required, Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience is required.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

Required:
- Understanding of ZOS
- Experience with CICS, DB2
- Experience with incident resolution software
- Understanding of JES2
- Familiar with mainframe software like CICS, IMS, DB2 IPL mainframes
- Must be a team player
- Experince with MQ and IMS
- Experience with SYSVIEW
- Experience with TSO and JCL
