The team is responsible for Real Time Architecture pathfinding and future product feature definition. The team works with customers, Business Units and Planning organization to understand future use cases, uses pre-silicon modelling and post-silicon evaluation to synthesize those use-cases into future product features, and then drives those features into SoC and IP teams.
Responsibilities will include working on post silicon validation boards, taking measurements on Key Performance Indicators of the system and silicon, creating and modifying workloads which meet the measurement criteria, documenting and communicating results to supervising engineer and rest of the team. Work will involve learning the BIOS and Software tuning capabilities of the system/silicon, and some of the micro-architectural features, to accurately measure Key Performance Indicators.
Responsibilities may be quite diverse of a nonexempt technical nature. U.S. experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school.
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel location and off-site.
Length of internship estimate is 6 months with a possibility to extend.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly. Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must be pursuing a BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or any related field
3+ months of experience in the following areas:
- Computer Architecture
- Logic Design
- Programing Languages
- Data Structures/Algorithms
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ months of experience in any of the following areas:
- C, C++ programing skills
- System boards, semiconductor chips, logic analyzers, probes
- Unix/Linux Operating System Knowledge
