Computer Technician II (carrying the job title of ‘IT Support Technician’)

The appointee will be responsible for (a) providing technical and end-user support in computer hardware, software and e-learning facilities; (b) performing daily operation and maintenance duties on Windows, Linux and Mac servers/workstations; (c) performing administrative work, including procurement and compiling management reports for users; (d) performing other duties as assigned. Shift duty on Saturdays and Sundays will be required.

Applicants should have (i) a Diploma / Higher Diploma in IT related disciplines, preferably with a Bachelor’s degree; (ii) at least 2 years of relevant work experience in hardware and software installation and administration on Windows/Linux/Mac environments; (iii) knowledge of TCP/IP, firewall, switching and routing network, VMware infrastructure, backup solution; (iv) good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to be a good team member. Knowledge of eLearning support and education related systems will be an added advantage. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written and/or computer skill test(s).

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
