Currently we are on the lookout for a Full Time, Conference & Sales Coordinator to join our Conference & Sales Team.
You will be responsible for meeting the needs of secured conference business from a compilation of event orders through to on-site management of the event and appropriate after function follow up. You will also be assisting with promotion and sale of our conference and event spaces and fabulous restaurant BODA.
Reporting to the Conference Sales Manager and working in liaison with the Executive Chef/Food and Beverage Manager to ensure successful execution of all conferences and events and will need you to be on the conference floor as well.
The role also involves providing quality and efficient administrative support as required by the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external guests
- Checking details are set up correctly in accordance with clients’ needs
- Meeting and greeting of clients when required
- Compiling of all banquet event orders and distribution
- Management and co-ordination of events from initial enquiry through to payment
- Assisting on floor conference/F&B operations when required
- Running of day to day duties of Conference & Events Sales office
Requirements for this role:
- Previous experience in F&B/Conferencing and administration preferred.
- Experience working with Opera Sales and Catering and MS Office is preferred.
- Negotiation, sales, and organisational skills.
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
- Attention to detail is paramount.
- Exceptional personal presentation.
- High level of communication skills and a pleasant, confident phone manner.
- Eligible working rights in New Zealand for a minimum of 12 months
