Job Description

The Construction Category Manager will be responsible for all supply chain activities associated with construction and facilities management scopes within Intel's Latin America Region which includes Costa Rica and Mexico.

The person will deliver results associated with and measured against the Global Facilities Strategic Sourcing charter.

Specifically, the candidate will be expected to meet or exceed cost at market or better targets, implement velocity solutions reducing the critical path, ensure quality supplier performance, and implement and manage to contract deliverables. Additionally, will create a strong partnership with Corporate Services and Fab Construction Enterprise to develop, implement, and monitor innovative supplier solutions.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor´s in Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Architecture, Engineering or related.
  • 5+ years of related experience in Supply Chain management, commodity management, contracts management, or construction project management.
  • Proven track record of supply chain, supplier management knowledge applied to benchmarking concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of the local/regional market in relation to industry trends and norms.
  • 5+ years of experience working with suppliers, business partners, and upper management.
  • Advanced English and Spanish level.
  • This position will require international travel (10%).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of the market in relation to industry trends and norms in Mexico.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
