The Facilities Commodity Manager (FCM) is an individual contributor who will lead the sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and management of a full range of construction contracts, supporting Intel Ireland projects.The position will work closely with management from fab construction, finance, design, and engineering to deliver complex projects enabling Intel's manufacturing capacity.The FCM position will work with the Construction Facilities Supply Chain Group with the Manufacturing, Operations and Supply Chain organization.

As the Construction Facilities Commodity Manager, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Developing and presenting a rationale for construction contracting and compensation strategies.

  • Participate in the development and execution of contracts used to procure design, construction, and other construction-related services supporting Intel fab construction projects.

  • Role modelling standard business processes, ensuring compliance with corporate, fiscal, legal, environmental, and risk management policies to minimize and limit corporate liability, manage risk, and optimize value

  • Provide training and influence construction project managers, buyers, and project team members on business processes and related tools.

  • Gain proficiency in contract documents and standard business processes.- Compare and evaluate 'key performance indicators.

  • Facilitate resolution of any contract disputes or escalations.

  • Provide expertise on construction contracting methods, understanding the relationship between contractual responsibilities and assignment of risk, and a basic understanding of the relationship between construction costs, quality, and schedule

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

The candidate must possess at least one of the following degrees plus the years of experience determined for each degree in the areas specified below:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field of study.

  • 5+ years of experience in the Construction or Construction related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of contracts, contract law, and claims management processes and procedures.

  • Construction Services procurement planning and procurement policy expertise.- Supply chain and supplier management experience.

  • Working knowledge of project management skills and methods.-

  • Understand and apply benchmarking concepts.

  • Knowledge of the local/regional market in relation to industry trends and norms.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
