Job Description

The Logistics Construction Lead will be part of a newly formed Logistics team for the new Intel Ohio site.


The successful candidate will liaise with subject matter experts across Intel Logistics organization, factory construction stakeholders, Logistics sourcing teams, and Logistics service providers to progress the development and deployment of required logistics capabilities based on a project plan.

This is a great opportunity to lead setup of logistics infrastructure in a new greenfield factory start-up, and play an influential, leading role in a newly established logistics team. Onsite location is in New Albany, OH.

 

As the Construction Logistics Lead, you will be responsible for but not limited to: 

  • Leading the Logistics construction operations - freight transportation and warehousing services - for the new Ohio site, including development and deployment of business processes, system capabilities, supplier sourcing, and other key activities required to develop the right, optimized logistics services and solutions for the construction phase of the project.

  • Willingness and experience working efficiently in a virtual environment with multiple sites/geos.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must possess at least one of the following degrees plus the years of experience determined for each degree in the areas specified below:  

  • Bachelors in Psychology, Business or Technical discipline - Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or Manufacturing.
  • 6+ years of experience in construction logistics operations management.

Expertise areas:
 

  • Warehouse & Freight Transportation Operations Management, specifically with setup of logistics capabilities - business processes, systems, and assets.
  • Prior experience supporting or directly working with Factory stakeholders and/or managing supply chain operations.
  • Warehouse and Transportation Management.
  • Factory stakeholders and supply chain operations.
  • Supplier Management with a proven track record of driving supplier performance improvements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA education preferred.
  • Supplier management experience, with a proven track record of driving supplier performance improvements.
  • Lean/Six Sigma skills/qualifications/experience.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
