ABOUT THE ROLE:

The construction consultant will provide support the company on a school construction project located in Henan, China. The position will assist the team by providing educational advice in order to develop a strategic construction plan. Staff are expected to hold a strong knowledge of educational system of Mainland China and demonstrate the ability to work in a team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop strategic and sales objectives of construction projects located in Mainland China; 
• Assist with maintaining appropriate records and reports;
• Engage with both internal and external stakeholders in a variety of situations and communicate effectively with diverse cultural groups;
• Involvement of decision-making process to meet the standard of project requirement, including provide adequate regulations advice regarding on school construction;
• Travelling to Henan, China frequently, for site visit; 
• Operate within Maytik Decoration Company Limited Policies and Procedures, particularly in the area of Equal Employment Opportunity and Workplace Health and Safety.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

• A sound understanding on education industry of Mainland China, particularly Henan region, including regulations regarding on school construction; 
• Sound level of verbal and written communication skills;
• Participating in meeting processes, report writing, and negotiation skills; 
• Skills in computing (especially word processing, Internet) and skills, or the ability to develop skills in database use;
• Proven ability to work under limited supervision and in an integrated manner as a member of a multi-disciplinary team;
• Willingness to travel to Hannan frequently; 
• Current valid Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macau Residents;
• Fluency in Mandarin.
