Title: Consultant/Team Leader
Your job is to identify, screen and qualify candidates and provide a short-list against a specific vacancy. To handle the full recruitment life-cycle of candidates from initial call to after sales call – one month after start. This role includes some elementary client contact under supervision.
1) Identify candidates against specific Job Description (JD)
- researching, identifying and name gathering candidate details
- getting the up-to-date contact information for the candidates identified
- making the 'first' call to a potential candidate to uncover whether they may be interested in the role,
- sending JDs out via email, and providing candidates with all the specific information relating to the position
- receiving CVs / profiles
- identifying and name gathering candidate details that hold these specific positions and/or similar positions but with slightly different job titles
- getting the up-to-date contact information on these people
- inputting the information into system
4) Prepare a shortlist of screened candidates
5) Organise client interviews
6) Manage the total candidate experience
The job of a Recruiter:
1)You will be provided via email, with the following information on the candidate /(s) that needs to be ‘sourced’ for NES’s client:
- Work Experience
- Background
- Education
- Location
- Personality / Cultural fit
- Age / Gender / Nationality
- Language capabilities
Plus other additional candidate information such as ‘preferred’ companies / industries to have worked in could be part of this initial part of the recruitment process.
2) You will be given a specific time frame in which you need to deliver the shortlist. This time frame will be dependent on the level of the position, the urgency of the role, and the service level agreement with the client.
3) At any one time a consultant can be working on 5 positions simultaneously, this can increase to 10.
4) You will research predominantly through using the internet as your major resource tool, websites/sourcing channels such as Linkedin, Zhaopin, other ‘industry’ / location specific websites to ‘find’ candidates. You will be provided with specific techniques in name-gathering, and you may also be provided with a list of companies to ‘target’, but this is again dependent on the client / level of position.
5) Once you have uncovered potential individuals you need to connect with them via email or over the phone to find out whether they would be interested, and for them to send in their CV for the specific position you are working on.
6) On receiving CVs, they need to be logged under the specific vacancy in System-Bullhorn.
7) If the candidate matches the criteria required then you need to interview them, usually this takes place over the telephone however for more senior positions this should be in the form of a face to face office interview in the office preferably during lunchtime, or after 5pm, and accompanied by a Senior Consultant. The candidate qualifier form should be used for all interviews.
8) Candidates that are suitable should be shortlisted to the client within the timeframe required. This should be done via email.
9) Interview preparation & de-brief must take place with each candidate that the client wishes to see. All information should be logged into system, under the specific vacancy.
10) Handling the offer negotiation, resignation preparation, and where required dealing with counter offers.
11) Managing the candidate until their start date and following up with the ‘placed’ candidate one-month after start date for the after-sales call.
There may be a point in your career whereby your Manager will begin to ‘track’ your performance, and introduce business development, and additional client contact, for preparation of next level promotion.
