Job Description
The Department of Laboratory Medicine at TTSH is seeking a Consultant Chemical Pathologist to join the biochemistry section of the department. TTSH is a large tertiary and teaching hospital in central Singapore with over 1700 inpatient beds and the biochemistry section performs almost 4 million tests per year. The laboratory has been CAP accredited since 2008.

You will join the existing single Chemical Pathologist to provide medical oversight for biochemistry testing both on-site, POCT and at affiliated sites. In addition to traditional biochemistry testing, the section is responsible for urinalysis, urine microscopy and automated serology (e.g. HIV, hepatitis) testing with plans to offer therapeutic drug monitoring of antibiotics. There are opportunities for involvement in polytechnic and medical student teaching.

Requirements
A recognised Medical Degree registrable with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) and a postgraduate qualification such as FRCPA, FRCPath or similar acceptable for accreditation as a Specialist Pathologist with the Specialist Accreditation Board (SAB) with Ministry of Health. Appointment will be based on relevant years of experience as a Chemical Pathologist.
