Job Description

**Full-time home-based position with regional travel. Ideal candidate will reside near a major airport in Southern California or Nevada**

The Consultant Professional Services (CPS) is a collaborative member of the cross-functional project team responsible for the implementation of BD Pyxis Dispensing products at the small to medium hospital level. The CPS’s demonstrated expertise in clinical and technical aspects of Pyxis Dispensing products enhances the credibility of recommendations to Pharmacy, Nursing, and Information Technology stakeholders. The CPS gathers goals and requirements for the system to facilitate effective guidance of the customer during solution design, validation processes, and the design and delivery of an effective customer training plan. The CPS effectively performs the required tasks to ensure timely Go-Lives and customer satisfaction.

Guides the customer in activities designed to achieve standardization across small - medium hospital level health systems, and to improve efficiency of current business/practice operations through adoption of best practices.
• Demonstrates proficiency in product feature/functionality and operational knowledge of core BD Pyxis Dispensing products and solutions. 
• Demonstrates knowledge and complies with established BD Pyxis Dispensing product implementation methodologies and tools or equivalent industry standards.
• Must be detail oriented, and able to deal with multiple projects and competing demands consistent with established company and customer objectives. Consistently demonstrates administrative discipline including strong time management skills and the ability to maintain numerous priorities while meeting established deadlines, goals and objectives.

Education, Experience or Equivalent:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent education and work experience
• Clinical Certification (active or expired) and/or HIT background desired
• Expertise in HIS/PIS systems and pharmacy and nursing workflow 
• Three or more years in acute care healthcare environment with technical (systems) involvement and computerized system applications.  
• Dispensing software technology experience a plus 
• Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, OneNote)
• Exposure to clinical software applications is a plus, including BD Pyxis Dispensing products 
• Recent, relevant consulting experience preferred. Experience with small - medium health systems required

Licenses/Certifications preferred:

• Pharmacy Technician, Informaticist, RN, LPN

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.This position may involve pushing, pulling, stooping, bending and lifting

Work Environment:

• Works primarily in a geographically defined territory; however, based on account or project needs, could be assigned outside of the territory or region
• Travel may range from 60% - 80%, overnight travel included
• Position requires flexible working hours, including some nights and weekends  
• Ability to work independently from home office
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and meet BD's auto safety standards.
