Job Description
SDL Enterprise Technologies (North America) is seeking a Consultant in the Boston Area to join our Professional Services team in Waltham, Massachusetts. As a Consultant, you will participate in and act as the primary technical resource for WorldServer and TMS post-sales implementation and deployment, as part of our GIM (Global Information Management) Enterprise framework. Please note that this position is a hands-on implementation specialist, who must be capable of technical configuration and development, in addition to customer-facing activities. He/she will report to the divisional director, but will may require responding to and following a Senior Consultant (and/or Project Manager)’s direction for relevant project work.
Responsibilities
Act as a primary implementer of relevant enterprise technologies (server-based, web applications) and projects; configure the systems and develop customizations.
Assist in and document requirements analysis, solution design and development of custom components, installation, configuration, integration of products with 3rd party systems, test plans and training Work on multiple project simultaneously. Contribute to customer satisfaction and project success. Direct client interaction is a must. Must enjoy working with clients and staff at many different levels.
Developing abilities to eventually become an expert in localization, implementation methodology, and project management; includes progressive path to manage projects, assist with pre-sales, scoping, and provide input to product development and more.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline, such as Computer Science or Engineering, is preferred (or demonstrated equivalent).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Well-organized and detail-oriented people with interpersonal skills, as well as strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Aptitude to quickly learn new products and technologies, and apply it to a client’s real-world business situation.
At least two years of hands-on experience and demonstration of strong knowledge and relevant syntax for Java, .NET, SQL, XML, HTML, and Windows and UNIX platforms are required.
Experience with a standard software implementation methodology, business or technical analysis, project planning, Content Management Systems, System Integration, Object and Multi-threaded Programming, SOAP, web services, Unicode, internet protocols, Operating Systems, web application servers and database servers (RDBMS) is preferred.
Experience in Globalization, Localization, Internationalization, in a technical or practical capacity is a plus.
Ability to travel up to-50% nationally and internationally Must be U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. No relocation assistance will be provided.
