Philips’ Domestic Appliances business is a global leader with EUR 2.3 billion in sales in 2019 in kitchen appliances, coffee, garment care and home care appliances, with successful products such as the Airfryer, Automatic Coffee Machines with LatteGo and SpeedPro Max Aqua vacuum cleaner, and many more that are used by millions of people every day across the world.

In January, Philips announced that it would be considering new ownership options for Domestic Appliances, as it is not a strategic fit for the company’s future as a health technology leader, and committed to finding the right home for the business to ensure that it is set up for continued success serving consumers, leveraging the Philips brand and driving growth across the markets that it serves.

In this role, you would be responsible for

  • A 24-month rolling integrated consumer marketing plan, based on Consumer, Market and competitor insights (which includes the champion propositions) .

  • Optimal allocation of local Advertising & Proposition (A&P) spends as input for Annual Operating Plan (AOP) cycles.

  • Localization of global content and local content creation (influencers, PR, etc) in collaboration with the Digital Business Leader – Consumer, Portfolio marketing, including Omni-channel calendar and portfolio management (SKU rationalization/ phase in phase-out)

  • Local insights about consumers, markets, competition and trends, and provides input to the Businesses during Regional Planning and strategy calls

  • Based on the Personal Health Cluster Strategy and brand strategy in the market, develop and implement the continuous rolling Integrated Marketing Plan in the Market (LMAP).

  • Works cross-business and cross-cluster, where required (for example consumer-facing Sleep business), to ensure all such marketing activities are covered in the Market.

  • Drives Marketing team (Business Marketing Managers and professional marketing (for Oral and Healthcare and Mother and Child care) and Local Marketing Strategy and planning, owning the Advertising & Proposition spent responsibility.

  • Responsible for effective planning based on granular analyses: Partner with Busines Market & Sales (BM&S) Leader and Business Development Managers (BDM)to build the handshake and ongoing performance management against the plan.

  • Orchestrates the process and secures the market targets in conjunction with BM&S Leader and Sales Leader (across all BMC for the overall product portfolio in the Market).

  • Drives demand generation and ensure that business performance is being delivered according to KPIs such as yearly sales, order intake, market shares, Integral Gross Margin (IGM) through price realization in markets, A&P, Integral Sales Margin (ISM) and marketing ROI.

  • Portfolio Marketing:

  • Provides inputs to the cluster marketing for the definition of the 24 -month planning including the selection of the champion propositions.

  • Together with Category Leader determines product and service portfolio for the Markets, setting up and executing roadmaps for the introduction of new products or updates and the phasing-out of existing products in such a way that an optimal product and service portfolio is available on the market in time and with low costs of stock

  • Champions the voice of the customer and manages a holistic customer experience in the Market across the product and services portfolio.

To be successful in this role you need to have;

  • In-depth knowledge of all marketing aspects.

  • B2B, Channel segmentation experience would be preferred for this role

  • A full scope of marketing function for Indonesia Personal Health business with a team of 6 members' marketing team.

  • Strategy choices with a horizon of 3 years complete product family.

  • Contributes to the mid/long term product strategy and distribution strategy.

  • Generates the short/midterm product roadmap, including the business plans and goals.

  • Responsible for the product strategy within the business. Directly involved in the definition of the business strategy and distribution strategy.

  • Long-term product planning within the business strategy.

  • Functional leadership towards Product, Marketers, Marcom and Product Planners in the organization. Decides on marketing plans, budgets, and external agencies.

  • Co-responsible for technology and components choices.
