Position Summary:

As part of Bentley’s Content Advancement Team and reporting to the Proposals Knowledge Manager, the Content Development Manager - Design works to enhance the layout and graphical quality of ongoing proposals of strategic importance as well as our standard commercial offering content.

The Content Development Manager - Design works alongside the other Content Development Manager (focused on writing) and the Content Implementation Manager (focused on templates and repeatable content) to increase the quality and effectiveness of commercial offering content.

 

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Design document layouts and templates, for either single-use or reusable purposes
  • Design individual graphical elements for documents, including explanatory graphics
  • Improve layout of existing commercial offering content such as proposals and order forms
  • Interview internal subject matter experts and stakeholders and translates results into responsive and engaging graphical elements and layouts to convey information compellingly
  • Validates proposal quality and conceptual and thematic continuity; participates in and contributes to reviews as needed throughout the content development process

 

What You Bring to The Team:

  • 2-3 years working in graphic and information design.
  • Knowledge of proposals or business documentation is required.
  • Experience with engineering or construction fields preferred, but ability to learn and understand these topics is required.
  • Exceptional ability to take complex ideas and present them in a simple and compelling way.
  • Self-directed and intellectually curious; able to multi-task and prioritize while applying exacting standards and exceeding expectations.
  • Extremely perceptive reviewer and editor; able to correlate RFx requirements with applicable content and leverage that linkage to create powerful responses that drive procurement action by reviewers and decision-makers while maximizing reusability.
  • Highly skilled interviewer; able to take input from commercial and technical resources and translate the results into graphical elements and layouts that speak to executive audiences and which may be repurposed for subsequent opportunities.
  • Competency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), graphical elements in Microsoft Word.
  • Fluency and mastery in information/document design. Previous work in proposals is a plus.
