Job Description

Content Manager is responsible for developing new content strategies covering original written content, customer content marketing, community social content plus curation of 3rd-party aggregated content that attracts innovators and designers working in the technology sector.

  • Researches, designs and develops new approaches to content generation and presentation online, live and in print.
  • Creates excitement within the editorial team, and oversees the creation of provocative original content.
  • Brings content and marketing teams together to create interest in new content and increase the ratio of returning visitors to the eMedia Asia online network of websites.
  • Builds relationships among Weixin and Weibo groups, bloggers and posters on the network, and develops new methods of identifying, enrolling and acknowledging the best contributors.
  • Introduces new methods of delivering content using formats including but not limited to video, web cast, live events, and apps.
  • Works directly with the business development team, sales and customers on successful content marketing programs that achieve predetermined traffic and conversion targets.
  • Oversees and manages the quality of output from the content and marketing teams.
  • Takes responsibility for achieving annual community metrics and implements tracking methodology to ensure that targets are met.

Position Requirements:

  • Academic background: University / College graduate (Media studies, Journalism, Business Writing or any other related course).
  • Background in new media, but familiar with traditional media as well. Preferably with previous content management experience, or equivalent demonstrable content marketing capabilities.
  • Creative thinker,track record of working across multi-cultural teams.
  • Strong organization skills, a self-starter able to operate effectively and independently.
  • Able to effectively coordinate related activities and meet deadlines.
  • Be able to work as a team, understand others’ priorities and overcome challenges in a professional, non-antagonistic manner.
  • HTML and web design skills preferable but not a necessity.
