Are you a Content Strategist who loves coaching team members and digging into data and customer research to translate user needs and content performance KPIs into requirements for compelling content experiences? The Content Production & Optimization team is responsible for content quality in the Siemens Digital Industries Software digital ecosystem, including the content and SEO strategies and management of our marketing taxonomy. As the Content Strategy Manager, you will have two key roles in the Content Production & Optimization (CP&O) team. First, you will be responsible for overseeing our content strategy and working with cross-functional teams across Siemens Digital Industries Software to craft aligned customer journeys. You’ll work closely with marketers, writers, data analysts, UX designers and researchers, product managers, and others to deliver content strategies at scale. You’ll collaborate with creative and technical teams, as well as subject matter experts, to deliver content experiences that are user-centric and align to strategic business objectives. Your expertise in synthesizing customer goals and needs into measurable strategies across our web-based ecosystem will drive significant impact across our organization. Your other key responsibility is to manage the Agile team. You will be supported by an Agile Coach who ensures the team performs at an optimal level, and our Product Owner who prioritizes the work of the team against business goals. As the Agile Manager, you will make sure each team member understands how to do their job and is living up to their individual potential. The team collaborates with stakeholders across our company to create and optimize web content. The team performs a variety of tasks including quality reviews and publishing of web content, and provides assistance to users of our self-service WCM tools such as Contentful. The team also works closely with the web developers and user experience designers to create and launch new pages and sites. You will monitor individual performance, keep an open line of communication with each team member, do regular one-on-one checkups on their performance and help them with career development. You’ll ensure that each team member is well trained in our content strategy, SEO best practices, and the other skills they need. Equally important, you’ll also strive to make sure they are happy/satisfied in their roles. Essential Functions: Researching and staying up-to-date on the latest developments in SEO, content trends and consumer behavior Helping various content producers to create new content and update older content to meet new content standards Ensuring consistency across all web properties Hiring team members and conducting performance appraisals Creating individual development plans for each employee and conducting regular reviews of their progress Helping employees remove internal or external roadblocks to achieving their team goals Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience: 5+ years of experience in digital content management, web writing and/or content editing 3+ years of experience as a people manager Solid understanding of user experience design principles and interaction patterns Deep knowledge of best practices for writing for the web, SEO and keyword research Strong analytics experience to set targets and measure performance Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn concepts quickly Exceptional coaching and conflict resolution skills Strong project management skills and self-driven approach to work Excellent diplomacy skills and ability to effectively communicate with executive leadership Experience working in or managing a globally dispersed team Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience: Experience working in Agile development teams (Scrum or Kanban) and strong Agile mindset Certified Agile Leadership certification preferred Experience with various web CMS platforms (Adobe Experience Manager, SDL Tridion, Wordpress, Contentful, etc.) Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in English, Technical Writing, Journalism, Communications, Information Management, or related discipline.
