Job Purpose/Overview

The continuous improvement engineer supports supply performance tracking and development. He/she ensures performance measuring, reporting and challenging to reach business goals and drive the Focused Improvement process.

He/she supports site driven and market driven projects by identifying and clarifying business cases and follow up on deliverables. The continuous improvement engineer builds up the knowledge, deploys the tools/mindset of fact based decision making.

 

Key Responsibilities 

Business Performance & Improvement
•    Conduct performance and capacity analysis
•    Evaluate and communicate performance against KPI targets
•    Lead performance improvement and COGS initiatives
•    Support MSE Pillars and Initiatives

 

Perspective & Knowledge Management
•    Maintain performance trend analysis and capacity database
•    Understanding KPI performance and its drivers. Create same understanding with contributing associates
•    Provide insightful and objective analysis of performance

 

Supply Chain Strategy, Planning and Investment
•    Input into Global industrial engineer Capacity File
•    Conduct DOC reviews and support Planning (Supply Planning & Factory Schedulers)
•    Provide relevant input for Capital Projects reporting & create write ups for approving large projects
•    Support site and segment development activities

 

Context and Scope

 The jobholder is the spider in the supply web. He follows up the site performance and rings the bell where needed. He is a key player in the initiation of projects coming from markets or initiated at the site.  

 

Job Specifications/Qualifications

• Education & Professional Qualifications    Engineering or BS degree
• Excellent Excel Skills
• Knowledge / Experience    Experience in supply and/or Finance
• Languages: Dutch & English, French is a plus
