Eaton’s Corporate Technology Office (CTO) is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team. This position can be fully remote. Position Overview: Manage the deployment and execution of the Continuous Improvement vision and strategy for ERL. This includes Lean and Six Sigma process deployment, training, and execution for the organization at all sites globally. This role is a key member of the OpEx staff and promotes a culture of Continuous Improvement and Lean to drive change. Job duties lead the implementation of Lean and Six Sigma strategies, which will lead to improvements including technology delivery performance, employee safety and reductions in non-value added activities and increase employee engagement. In this function you will: Works with the leadership team to manage the development, implementation and execution of the ERL Lean, CIF and Six Sigma strategy, CI actions, training and cross-functional activities. Will lead the ELSS / CIF projects and reviews with the ERL leadership team. Promote a culture of continuous improvement. Utilize lean and six sigma tools to eliminate waste through leading teams. Drives initiatives to closure and monitors/drives associated metrics. Provides CIF, Lean and Six Sigma leadership across all ERL sites to drive short-term and long term business improvements. Monitors overall performance toward delivery objectives for ERL activities. Drives key tool improvements to meet profit plan and strategic plan initiatives. Creates action plans and follows-up on work assignments based on these activities. Responsible for executing sustained change management as it applies to ERL processes. Utilizes change management techniques such as ADKAR to effectively drive and sustain process improvements. Performs ERL’s Eaton Lean System (ELSS) self-assessments, identifies performance gaps, and recommends actions to improve maturity. Works through the leadership team to prioritize improvement activities and close gaps. Participates in the OpA ELSS functional self-assessment and opportunities to improve. Be an expert in the ELSS and CIF tools to provide training, guidance and execution of ERL’s CI strategy and actions. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is required. Minimum 5 years of Lean/Six Sigma experience is required. Certified DMAIC or DFSS Black Belt Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with lean manufacturing techniques – i.e. value stream mapping, standard work, 5S Experience with problem-solving methodologies used in determining root cause and formulating corrective action(s) - i.e. thought maps, 8D, root cause analysis, Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis, control charts, Pareto charts, etc. Experience with production environments including safety/guarding requirements and use of lean techniques in these environments.
