Eaton’s Electrical Power Delivery division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Badger Drive facility in Waukesha, WI. The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for working with stakeholders, across the site, to improve the FLOW and OTD of quality products across the site. In this role, you will execute our “Train the Trainer” strategy that enables < 5 CI practitioners to inspire 1000+ people and transform strategic value streams into learning institutions with Model Metrics. In this function you will: Identify key elements of processes to be managed visually. Lead Value Stream Mapping initiatives that capture process steps, systems, hand-offs, interrupters to flow, waste, and misallocated resources. Perform time studies for part families within value streams. Work with operators to create standard work based on time studies. Standard work includes Time Observation Charts, Operator Balance Chart, Standard Work Capacity table, Standard Work Chart, Standard Work Combination Table. Partner with Finance to improve margins = 3X their salary. Lead RIEs to eliminate waste, reduce errors, & improve flow. Develop system & process requirements: job skills and OJT. Accelerate adoption of employee ideas to increase engagement. Drive rapid problem solving using 8Ds, fish bones, 5 Whys, A3, and other problem-solving tools. Apply mistake-proofing concepts to improve quality. Deploy change management and management of change to minimize business disruption. Perform set-up & change over activities to reduce bottlenecks. Develop knowledge and leading practices sharing across the site. Create model cells to deliver world class metrics sustainably. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of two (2) years experience in a Continuous Improvement role (manufacturing, office, or service based setting). Strong mathematical skills. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field from an accredited institution. CAD experience. SPC experience. MiniTab experience.
