Reporting to the New Build Director, the Continuous Improvement Lead will drive a culture of improvement across the New Build portfolio, and the wider FCE programs, to achieve improvements in people, process, technology, and data. The right person to bring new ideas and industry best practice to FCE, and support the delivery of significant value across the business.

The CI Lead will set the staccato for the continuous improvement lifecycle, bringing best practice in identifying, valuing, prioritizing and implementing change, and supporting the business in achieving measurable value, also, the CI Lead will also coach the wider business to drive and embed change.

As a Continuous Improvement Lead your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Create the approach, framework, and infrastructure for managing the Continuous Improvement Lifecycle (leveraging both Intel's processes and industry good practice).
  • Establish the NB approach for identifying, documenting, qualifying, prioritizing and valuing CI opportunities.
  • Perform improvements to process, technology, data, resource, innovation, and any other levers of value.
  • Establish a clear Roadmap of improvement which can be communicated to the business and communicates the schedule of works to be delivered by the team.
  • Establish the appropriate level of Business Case and analysis to determine the value of CI opportunities for the betterment for New Build programs.
  • Engage broadly across FCE, both at the project and support levels, to harvest knowledge from the business to identify areas of excellence, to deploy more broadly
  • Measure and report value achieved, through the capture of data and definition of KPIs, and provide intelligent management reporting to the senior team.
  • Establish Lessons Learned processes and knowledge centers, to ensure lessons are passed forward to future investments.
  • Work with key business stakeholders, and change champions, to build a culture of continuous improvement, to support an ongoing program of change.
  • Act as a CI Coach to all areas of the business to support them in identifying, implementing, and embedding improvements, and ensure their needs are met.
  • Undertake post implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery of value, and also ensure change has been embedded into the way we work.
  • Identify and qualify external market "best of breed" solutions within the construction industry (material, equipment, software and methods), for the improvement of Intel.
  • Establish relationships and partnerships with the wider market, including universities, suppliers and other organizations, to bring new thinking and opportunity to Intel.
  • Travel, both nationally and internationally.

  • Skills as Data-driven approach to decision making, and the expertise to make priority decisions based on value-based outcomes.

  • Communication and stakeholder management skills, and the expertise to build rapport with teams at all levels of the business
  • Expertise in Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN), business case development, and process design.
  • Skills to coach our colleagues, helping them navigate the continuous improvement journey
  • Expertise to lead organizational change.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Business or other related discipline with 6+ years  of experience in a continuous improvement or business improvement role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA
  • Project Management qualification (PMP or equivalent)
