Eaton is seeking a Continuous Improvement Lead for its Assembly and Distribution Operation located in Roanoke, Virginia. Position Overview: As a Continuous Improvement Lead, you will work with a wide range of people in varying roles across the organization, including hourly associates, other support personnel within the facility and personnel at other facilities. The role is responsible to deploy the proven tools and processes of Eaton Business Systems (EBS) & Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) to drive performance excellence to improve competitiveness and customer satisfaction as measured through Eaton’s prescribed metrics and standard assessment practices. This role is a key in promoting a culture of Continuous Improvement. Job duties support the creation and implementation of Eaton Lean Six Sigma strategies, which will lead to improvements in areas such as employee safety and productivity to drive delivery performance and superior financial results. In this function you will: Lead the Eaton Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) deployment (visual controls, process standardization, leader standard work, Gemba walks, manning strategy, daily accountability, process checks and CI for everyone). Identify, manage and support CAPEX proposals that support Assembly and Distribution initiatives. Provide support for new and existing equipment in the Assembly and Distribution areas of the facility. Assess performance indicators, and take appropriate actions to ensure schedule, cost and quality goals are met. Support manufacturing and distribution initiatives to ensure that profit and strategic plans are met or exceeded. Support Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives at the facility. Lead assembly and distribution PROLaunch deployment projects. Lead the assembly of designing or building of prototype products. Build ELSS organizational capability and develop local experts by providing training and consulting support. Initiate and facilitate successful Kaizen / Rapid Improvement Events (RIE) in the assembly and distribution areas of the facility. Lead ELSS self-assessments, monitor assessment outcomes and corrective action plans, and impact on business results. Manage and maintain the Cost Out project database and diagonal.
