As a Continuous Improvement Leader, ABB's Power Grids Transformers are a global leader in technology, and the largest supplier of transformers in the world. We are pioneering the digitalization of transformers, while working on the frontier of renewable energy and ultra-high voltage AC & DC applications.

You will lead a team of designers/engineers in Dry & Traction Transformers Product Group/ Transformers Business Line/ Power Grids Business.

Your responsibilities

• The success candidate will be the operation excellence team heavily specialized in traction transformer design.
• Responsible for leading process continuous improvement for SCM, quality, productivity and Safety.
• Supporting to drive, coach and track the progress of cost saving projects, and timely report to RELEX system. In 2019, there are 51 sub-projects is running and there are more projects in seeking and developing.
• CI leader is personally responsible for Lighthouse and One Piece Flow project, most should be completed in 2019 and 2020.
• Supporting to test station and continuously optimizing the testing scheme.

Your background

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, major in Mechanical Engineering or similar major.
• 3+ years of experience working in production process or continuous improvement.
• Experience and lead complex project about operation excellence.
• Understanding of oil immersed transformer production process.
• Proficient in Microsoft office and associated tools.
• Curiosity in different scientific areas like hydraulic, thermal, mechanical.
• Organized and thorough, self-motivated.
• A team player, open minded, team oriented and autonomous.
• Additional languages knowledge is considered is an added advantage.
• Quick learner with ability to master new areas.
• Strong team working abilities with a worldwide multi-cultural technical team.
• Fluent in oral and written English.
