Job Description
Eaton’s CRDS Division is currently seeking a Division CI Leader to join our team. This position is based at our Haina, Dominican Republic facility. Job Summary Drive the OPEX strategic vision and roadmaps for all Plants in RWD: Haina, LP, Cuaut, Lincoln, DWDE, and new Project Lightning facility in Juarez. Provide expertise for Eaton Business System Tools and training including EBS Pull, OpA, EBS-A, and other tools Drive Cost-Out Accountability for the Division including monthly Cost-out Calls and follow-ups Provide support for Functional Groups at the Division Level for Kaizens, problem solving, and to ensure EBS adherence. Liason with ES-A and corporate CI to ensure alignment and monthly/quarterly/annual requests Job Responsibilities Lead and coordinate OpA processes for division: Quarterly/Annual Leadership Review. Assist in Plant Validated/Self-Assessments including submittal to the OpA office and all accountability reviews with Plant OpEx teams Manage the Leadership System for the Division with a focus on the plants to drive compliance including EBS Pull, OpA processes, Cost-out, and Training Lead and facilitate structured Problem-Solving events including Kaizens and RIE's Coordinate all monthly/quarterly/annual CI requirements to ES-A and corporate CI. Provide direct support to OpEx Managers at facilities #LI-AP01 Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Education level required: A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution Preferred Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution Years and area of experience required: 7+ years of experience in similar roles (prefer: Opex / Engineering / Projects / ELSS / CI) 3 - 5 years of Operational Excellence / Continuous Improvement experience Hands on approach to implementation (e.g. Kaizen Events) Demonstrated experience using problem solving & Six Sigma statistical tools (including A3, 8D, Problem Definition, Data Collection, Brainstorming, 5 Whys, Fishbone, Cause & Effect, Error Proofing, Variation Analysis, SPC, MSA, and DOE) to solve problems Technical knowledge: Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Continuous Flow Manufacturing, Pull System, Standardized Work, 5S, TPM, Setup Reduction and Error Proofing. Problem solving tools & methods, including statistics and process variation reduction tools. Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) Project management professional certification is a plus. Soft skills: Position Criteria: Must excel of leading large teams across multiple locations Strong communication skills Use innovative techniques for influencing and driving change efforts Well-developed communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written with ability to make necessary status reports and technical presentations to Eaton management and customer. Strong analytical skills and business acumen Must be able to achieve goals by working collaboratively and cross-functionally Must be capable of working effectively in diverse cultural situations with our global team members. Must be capable of initiating and providing recommendations for Business Unit and Division senior leadership review and approval that will achieve desired outcomes.
