Eaton’s Aerospace division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team. The position is based at our Jackson, MS facility. Relocation is offered for this position. Position Overview: The Jackson facility has approximately 500 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace hydraulic components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets. The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for managing and implementing Lean Manufacturing principles at the plant level in compliance with the Continuous Improvement Framework and the Eaton Lean System requirements. In this function you will: Drive the CI vision at the plant level and inspire others to connect with the vision by driving a lean culture and implementing lean tools and processes, including gap analysis to current state. Lead Lean Internal Audits. Develops implementation plans with Business Team and Operational Leaders post audit (Tactical Plans). Conduct lean tool certification training. Plans and deploys training to support the plant’s goals and objectives in lean manufacturing and to develop the depth of lean skills for the tool champions. Lead the Plant Lean Council that consists of plant leaders. Council monitors progress to the strategic plan and redirects activities and resources as needed to improve safety and quality, drive cost out of the business, and improve the lean culture and tool usage. Facilitate Rapid Improvement Events and train team leaders to facilitate events. Manages a structured closure process to drive accountability on follow-up activities. Deploy 5S level strategy throughout the manufacturing site. Facilitate cost out improvement opportunities. Support sharing of best practices as result of internal and external benchmarking activities. Manage the Six Sigma program for the plant and mentor six sigma project champions When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. #LI-MD1 Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Minimum five (5) years’ combined experience in manufacturing and/or lean manufacturing deployment in a plant. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Preferred Qualifications: Expert knowledge of Microsoft Windows, especially Excel Understanding of organizational behavior, including the ability to build a team, motivate, counsel, and constructively deal with people at all levels.
