• Objectives of job

The Continuous Improvement Practitioner is responsible for introducing and maintaining the overall continuous improvement process (e.g. which includes DRX Ideas, DPV / Lean Six Sigma) within the production plant. The Practitioner acts as the CI ambassador in the production plant ensuring the plant is aware of its performance and has plans in place to ensure CI targets are met. The main tasks of the role is to identifying potential improvement projects (e.g. by analyzing Data from DRX Reporting tools as MES, IPST, Cockpit..), Reporting the plant's CI performance, Provide coaching of tools and methods for CI , providing a two way communication channel for CI whilst maintaining a regional network to the central department.

Principle activities

Key-User for Continuous Improvement and conduct associate training sessions on (corporate) standards;

Maintain network with respective regional and global Key-User functions and develop suggestions for improvement of standards and processes ;

Coach senior client personnel in LSS and act as an ambassador for change whilst striving to achieve ‘trusted advisor/partner’ status

Develop strong relationships with key operational management at local business units

Train and coach LSS Green belts & Yellow Belts in appropriate LSS methodologies

Provide guidance and focus to support site teams to achieve LSS roll out objectives (including KPIs, business unit capability & knowledge transfer)

Act as internal and external contact person within the own area of expertise and responsibility (the plant); cooperate in internal working groups

Create internal publications (e.g. documentation, etc.) and present as required

Recognize general need for continuing education within the own area of responsibility；plan and conduct internal and external trainings on complex topics

Support in determining and optimizing internal standards and processes within the own area of responsibility

Further develop and realize improvement projects within the DRAEXLMAIER GROUP worldwide, with a focus on the PA8 China Region

Provide operational support to the organizational units in the management of quality problems in the product origination and the product supply processes

Ensure the effective prevention of quality problems and verify effectiveness of improvement projects

Identify and develop cost saving programs; ,implement released improvement projects together with Production, Logistics and Quality (e.g. region wide in interior plants, etc.); and coordinate those programs with other plant sites and the central office;

Methodically lead, coach and educate CI project teams in applying Lean Six Sigma methods in cooperation with the relevant departments (e.g. Production, Logistics, Development, Quality, Industrial Engineering, Purchasing, etc.) within the PA8 China Region;

Define the requirements for the reporting on Continuous (process) improvement and the generation of reports

Cooperate in a 'best practice' database with the involvement of the plant management; and feeds back information to the central department. Perform tasks and cooperate with the central department in order to work on regional scale programs and implement topics from the 'best practice' database in the own area of responsibility .

Determine improvement potentials as well as derive and implement respective measures for production KPI targets (e.g. PPM, Scrap, productivity) in line with customer and DRX requirements in cooperation with the plant quality in order to continuously improve quality; Sources for this can be DRX reporting tools (e.g. MES, IPST, Cockpit..) as well as methods like e.g. waste walking and participation in process evaluations (audits, Run at Rates, etc.)

Fulfills the role of DRX Ideas Manager according to the global defined procedures. This role includes managing the DRX Ideas Portal and its procedures for Ideas, DPV and LSS Projects.

Actively promoting CI efforts in own area of responsibility through clear and open communication of e.g. KPI's, outstanding projects, etc. Development of additional award schemes within the own area of responsibility to further encourage CI efforts.

Creation of concepts for optimizing the standards and processes of for process management and shaping of the business processes , Ensure that the defined CI processes are followed in own area of responsibility

Determines, agrees and follows up on appropriate goals and actions with the supervisor

Performs all other duties as directed by the direct supervisor

Job requirements：

Business/engineering Graduate or equivalent, with 5 years experience in Lean six sigma or business improvement roles; ideally with an additional 5 years operational experience.

Certified to a minimum Green Belt level. (preferred BB)

Track record of managing multi-disciplined teams.

Demonstrated leadership & facilitation skillsProcess Management/DPM with focus on process
