Location/Division Specific Information

This job is located in Millersburg, PA.

How will you make an impact?

As a Practical Process Improvement (PPI) Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work directly with operations and support functions to develop best practices, implement continuous improvement efforts, and deliver training in the PPI Business System on topics such as lean leadership, value stream mapping, kaizen, standard work, single piece flow, 5S, SMED, built in quality, etc.

What will you do?

  • Manage and facilitate continuous improvement projects and Kaizen events to improve productivity and accelerate growth of the value stream.
  • Design, run, test, and upgrade systems and processes, evaluate and improve on processes in the Value Stream, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Optimize existing equipment, processes, and standard work to increase yield, reduce defects, and increase production efficiency.
  • Partner with Finance personnel to evaluate project savings, validate reported PPI benefits, and ensure accurate accounting of PPI productivity.
  • Identify and develop ideas for continuous improvement.

How will you get here?

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or a related field. Masters preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 – 5 years delivering continuous improvement projects (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to master a variety of software applications.
  • Flexibility to work various scheduled to meet the business needs.
  • Working conditions require the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, occasionally lift up to 40 lbs. and work at a computer station and on manufacturing shop floor.
Relocation is NOT budgeted for this role.
